Capitalisation & Endowment Model
Building a Permanent Foundation for Development
Sources of Capital
The proposed capitalisation framework identifies several potential sources:

Founding Waqif: governments, sovereign institutions and other founding contributors.
Institutional Waqif: organisations committing capital to the wider waqf ecosystem.
Strategic Partners: institutions supporting general waqf sector development.
Development & Impact Partners: partners selecting general waqf development as a designated initiative.
Corporate Waqf Allocations: eligible allocations from designated corporate waqf distributions.
Individual Contributions: eligible contributions through approved waqf contribution channels.
Preserving the Waqf Corpus
The Fund's model distinguishes the permanent endowment corpus from the income and returns generated through its investment.
The corpus is intended to be preserved in perpetuity, while annual usufruct is allocated to approved development purposes, institutional support and reinvestment in accordance with the approved governance and Shari’ah framework.
